So I recently turned 25. Not that big of a deal, really. But when you live with a disease that wants to kill you, maybe it is.
It was a nice day. My husband and I had a lunch date, then he told me to go get my nails done. A luxury that I love, but can’t always maintain. It was relaxing, I love getting my nails done.
That night we went to a new restaurant. It was a nice change to our normal routine. We enjoyed conversation, drinks and good food. The waitress, Rachel, was super nice. She went over the menu with me, since I didn’t know what some of the menu items were. She made sure that we had everything that we needed, and even fixed up a special desert for my birthday. Marcus made a joke about me being too hyper — because the desert was basically pure sugar (brownie sundae topped with powdered sugar, cinnamon, nuts, chocolate sauce, caramel) — to which Rachel responded by bringing me a Mexican Coke. 🙂 All in all it was a nice evening.
Then, we got to come over to my mom’s today — we’re spending the weekend. She and my Nanny got me a present that I didn’t expect. I got a tablet! Which I am using right now to make this post. I don’t remember if I had mentioned, my laptop got stolen a few months ago. So, they thought it would be a nice surprise.
Another great gift that I got — finally! — my high school diploma! Donna finally, finally gave it back to me. Said that she had put it up for me — she just didn’t want me to have it. But I was able to get it. That’s like the best thing ever.
I guess that’s about it for now. I’ll be posting again soon.
